Jordan Love watched on as the Green Bay Packers dropped their third straight game in Week 17, falling to 9-6-1 on the 2025 NFL season after a 41-24 loss to Tyler Huntley and the Baltimore Ravens. Now, the Packers will look to enter the playoffs with a 10th win under their belt, hitting the road to face the Minnesota Vikings in the regular-season finale.

Love was forced to miss Week 17 after suffering a concussion in the Week 16 loss to the Chicago Bears. Backup Malik Willis played well in his place, completing 18 of 21 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown while adding two more scores on the ground. And while Love is expected to be ready for the postseason, he will remain out in Week 18. Additionally, another offensive weapon will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Savion Williams, after a successful college career with the TCU Horned Frogs, was selected by the Packers with the No. 87 pick in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The rookie wideout has appeared in 12 games for Green Bay this season and has shown promise, recording 10 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, adding another 11 carries for 37 yards on the ground.

Like Love, Williams has been unavailable over the past few games due to a lingering foot injury, along with a recent illness. The wide receiver was unable to practice on Thursday or Friday as well and was already ruled out for Week 18. But on Saturday, Green Bay elected to place Williams on injured reserve, officially ending his season and leaving Love without one of his pass catchers heading into the playoffs.

Along with Williams, offensive lineman Donovan Jennings (throat) was also placed on injured reserve.

“The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Jakobie Keeney-James and G/C Lecitus Smith from the practice squad to the active roster, placed G/T Donovan Jennings and WR Savion Williams on injured reserve, and elevated TE Drake Dabney and LB Jamon Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday,” the Packers wrote.

The Packers will face the Vikings on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET knowing that a wild card game awaits next weekend on the road against either the Chicago Bears or the Philadelphia Eagles.
