The Green Bay Packers (9-6-1) and Minnesota Vikings (8-8) meet Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Packers vs. Vikings odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

The Packers are locked into the seventh seed, so there won’t be much to play for on Sunday. They are coming off a 41-24 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, failing to cover as a 2.5-point favorite as the Over (37.5) hit. Green Bay has struggled, primarily on the defensive end, over the past month and has lost 3 straight games. It has failed to cover in each of those games and is 5-10-1 against the spread. Starting QB Jordan Love (concussion) was cleared to play, but will not.

The Vikings are eliminated from playoff contention, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to throw the towel in. QB J.J. McCarthy, who has had a rocky season, is set to start. Despite its record Minnesota has rattled off 4 straight wins, most recently beating the Detroit Lions 23-10 on Christmas Day and covering as a 7.5-point home underdog as the Under (45) cashed. The Lions have covered in each of their recent wins and are 8-8 ATS.

The Packers beat the Vikings 23-6 at home on Nov. 23 in Week 12. They covered as a 6.5-point favorite with the Under (41.5) cashing.

PASS.

Avoid this play. The Vikings (-450) are the far hotter side and seem to have some reason to try in this one, but they are far too pricey to consider.

BET VIKINGS -10 (-105).

The Vikings defense has been lights out over the past several weeks. They have allowed 23 points over their last 2 games and 49 points over their last 4 games. Minnesota should be facing a slew of Green Bay backups as well. Having covered in 2 straight home games, expect their streak to continue Sunday.

The Packers just haven’t been playing well, and without much to prove, even with a win, they will likely muddle through this game. Green Bay has allowed at least 21 points in 5 straight games and has failed to cover in 3 straight contests.

Considering those trends for both sides, back VIKINGS -10 (-105).

BET UNDER 37 (-110).

The Vikings are going to be down 2 of their most effective offensive weapons — Jones and Hockenson. With McCarthy having struggled throughout the season, one shouldn’t expect Minnesota to drive efficiently. It has scored 23 or fewer points in 4 of its last 6 games.

The Packers’ main issues will come from their lack of a quality passer. QB Clayton Tune is getting the start, and he’s likely to put up a dud. With a banged-up offensive line as well, the Packers won’t move the ball with any ease.

Take UNDER 37 (-110).
