As the 2025 NFL regular season comes to an end Sunday night, there are still two available playoff spots remaining.
Sunday night’s Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game will determine the AFC North champion.
The other scenario is wild in the NFC South. The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints meet in a 1 p.m. game that determines the division winner, though neither of these two teams can claim the title. If the Falcons win, the Carolina Panthers are the division winners. If the Saints win, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the division and head to the playoffs.
It all makes for an exciting final day of the season.
And here’s what to know about the NFL playoffs:
When do the NFL playoffs start?
The NFL playoffs begin the weekend of Jan. 10-12 with wild-card round games.
Seven teams from each conference make the playoffs. The top seed in each conference receives a bye in the first round.
The first two wild-card games will be Saturday, Jan. 10. Three games will take place Sunday, Jan. 11, and the final wild-card game will be Monday night, Jan. 12.
The playoffs continue with the divisional round games on Saturday, Jan. 17, and Sunday, Jan. 18.
The AFC and NFC Championship games will be held Sunday, Jan. 25.
The conference champions then meet in Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, Feb. 8
