Coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers return to the NFL playoffs for a second consecutive year.

The Chargers finished the regular season with an 11-6 overall record, losing their last two games.

The team sat several of its starters, including quarterback Justin Herbert, in the 19-3 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 18. 

Safety Derwin James Jr. and edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu were also inactive for the game.

The Broncos, who won the AFC West, clinched home-field advantage for the playoffs and the top seed with the victory.

Who will the Chargers play in the NFL playoffs?

The Chargers are seeded seventh in the AFC bracket and will travel to take on the second-seeded New England Patriots in the wild-card round on Sunday, Jan. 11.

The Chargers did not play the Patriots during the regular season.
