After the Seattle Seahawks clinched the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, a division title, and a first-round bye with a 13-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, postseason merch has flown off the shelves as fans are eager to don the new Hawks playoff garb.
At both Seahawks Pro Shops at Lumen Field and in Renton, fans arrived in droves on the morning after the win to pick up the latest Seahawks postseason hat and T-shirt.
At the Renton location, a line formed outside the shop on Sunday morning, and the store sold out within 10 minutes, the Pro Shop told KOMO News.
“I was so happy that they won last night,” Nicholas Fleming, a Hawaii resident buying shirts for his family, said. “As soon as I saw them on TV last night, we wanted to get one immediately.”
New Seahawks playoff merchandise sells out in minutes
The new Seahawks merchandise includes a 2025 NFC West Division Champions hat and a similar T-shirt inscribed with “Been There, Won That” on the front.
As for the Lumen Field location in Seattle, merchandise was running low by the afternoon but was still available for fans later in the day.
The Seahawks capped off a historic season, notching 14 wins for the first time in franchise history, and claimed its first NFC West Championship since 2020.
Some fans, like Carter, believe the Seahawks’ achievements are rare and jump at the chance to pick up any postseason-related merchandise before the rest of the fanbase can get to it.
“Got to add it to the collection, you don’t get them very often, and when we do, you’ve got to snag them up because the 12s snatch everything they can,” Carter told KOMO News.
Other retailers like Simply Seattle have had similar good fortune with Seattle sports successes by previously taking advantage of the Mariners’ deep postseason run and are looking to do the same with the Seahawks’ playoff run.
“We are super excited on the gear side, and sports merchandising side, for a bunch of new T-shirts, hats, and hoodie designs,” Simply Seattle Vice President of Product, Jake Smidt, told KOMO News.
Simply Seattle anticipates it will have fresh designs ready for purchase across its three Seattle locations on Monday.
“We’ll have licensed products for all the New Era hats and ’47 brand, and Fanatics — those will be in the middle this week,” Smidt said.
Fans who cannot purchase postseason merchandise in person can find all the hats and T-shirts on the Fanatics and Simply Seattle websites.
