The Titans have been awarded international marketing rights in Ireland as part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, the team announced Wednesday.
Launched in 2022, the Global Markets Program awards NFL clubs international marketing rights to build brand awareness and fandom beyond the U.S., through fan engagement, events, commercial opportunities and NFL Flag development.
The Titans’ announcement accompanied Tuesday’s news from the NFL that all 32 organizations are now participating in the Global Markets Program.
Tennessee is one of six teams — along with Kansas City, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, the New York Jets and Jacksonville — with international marketing rights in Ireland.
“We’re thrilled to have all 32 clubs a part of the Global Markets Program in 2025,” NFL Executive Vice President Peter O’Reilly said in a statement.
“League-wide club participation in the program underlines the strategic priority both the NFL and its teams share, to invest in global growth. We continue to see strong momentum worldwide and look forward to bringing fans internationally closer to our game, together.”
Tennessee’s entry into the Irish market coincides with a growing partnership between Nashville and Dublin, Ireland.
Earlier this year, the Nashville Convention and Visitor’s Corporation (NCVC) launched a collaborative effort with Dublin and Aer Lingus Airlines to establish the first-ever direct flight between Nashville and Dublin (read here). The new route operates four times a week, and the hope is that it will offer increased accessibility and lay a foundation for greater visitation, business and cultural exchange.
The Titans and NCVC aim to introduce the culture of Tennessee’s capital, as well as the excitement of NFL football, to the Irish audience through joint campaigns, live events and shared cultural narratives.
The Titans also see potential in participating in NFL events on Irish soil, as the club plans to host youth football camps, cheer clinics and music-driven events in Ireland.
“Both Nashville and Ireland are deeply rooted in music, storytelling and community pride,” Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill said in the release. “This partnership allows us to authentically connect with Irish fans while promoting the shared values and cultural bonds between our regions. We see this as a tremendous opportunity to grow our fan base, foster new relationships and promote the best of Music City abroad.”
