Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak continues to emerge as a candidate for NFL head coaching jobs.
The New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons have requested to interview Kubiak for their head coaching vacancies, according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer on social media Tuesday afternoon.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero already reported on Monday that the Falcons had requested to interview Kubiak.
Who Seahawks are most at risk of losing OC Kubiak to
The 38-year-old Kubiak, who’s in his first season as Seattle’s OC, is eligible to participate in virtual interviews with teams this week since the Seahawks earned a first-round bye in the playoffs.
“His focus is on the playoffs, so he’ll take a day or two and figure out a plan to balance all of it,” Breer wrote.
Under Kubiak, the Seahawks finished third in the NFL with 28.4 points per game this season – which includes four special teams touchdowns and three defensive touchdowns. Excluding those seven non-offensive scores, the Seahawks averaged 25.5 points per game, which would still rank 11th in the league.
