The Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) are on the road on Wild Card Weekend as they visit the New England Patriots (14-3) at Gillette Stadium.

MATCHUP HISTORY

Sunday’s matchup will mark the 47th all-time matchup between the two teams. The Patriots hold a record of 27-17-2 against the Bolts, but the Chargers have won the last two meetings. This will be the fifth time the two teams meet in the postseason, the last coming during the 2018-19 season.

The last meeting overall between these two teams came late last season in Week 17, a game the Bolts controlled wire to wire.

Justin Herbert starred with 281 yards passing and three touchdowns as the Chargers went into Foxborough and secured a playoff spot that season with a big 40-7 win. It was also a historic game for then-rookie Ladd McConkey, who set new Chargers single-season rookie records for receptions and yards.
