Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers has a lot of work ahead of him, as he inevitably will attempt to take the starting job with his new team, the Miami Dolphins.

In the meantime, however, Ewers is enjoying the changes underway for his career.

That includes Ewers’ new number, in which he switched from the No. 3 he wore at Texas to No. 14. The Dolphins also showed off a first look at Ewers in his new Miami uniform and gear.

See it for yourself:

Looking sharp, indeed.

However, Ewers will need to do more than just look sharp.

As Sports Illustrated also notes, out of 14 quarterbacks selected in this year’s NFL Draft, Ewers was dead-last as he watched himself fall from talk of becoming a first- to third-round prospect to the lowly seventh-round.

Did Ewers choose the No. 14 for this reason?

If so, it’s a great narrative as Ewers attempts to take control of his NFL future.
