Rookie KeAndre Lambert-Smith will miss the NFL playoffs after the Los Angeles Chargers placed the former Auburn wide receiver on injured reserve on Saturday.
The Chargers play the New England Patriots at 7 p.m. CST Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, in a Wild-Card Weekend game in the NFL playoffs.
Lambert-Smith sustained a hamstring injury in the Chargers’ 19-3 loss to the Denver Broncos in the regular-season finale on Sunday. He did not practice this week before Los Angeles ended his season with the injured-reserve designation.

A fifth-round draft pick on April 26, Lambert-Smith played in 10 games with two starts in the 2025 regular season. He had five receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown and returned 18 kickoffs for a 23.2-yard average while on the field for 123 offensive snaps and 53 special-teams plays.
Lambert-Smith had 50 receptions for 981 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, his only season at Auburn. The wide receiver transferred to the Tigers after four seasons at Penn State.
