Alabama star tight end Josh Cuevas has officially declared for the 2026 NFL draft, according to an announcement on social media.
Cuevas played a key role on the Crimson Tide offense in 2025. The starting tight end recorded 411 yards and four touchdowns on 37 receptions, as Cuevas made a number of crucial plays for the Tide, and was a clear favorite target for quarterback Ty Simpson. Cuevas could prove to be an excellent selection for any team that choses to draft him, as the promising tight end has proven to perform at an extremely high level on a number of different occasions.
Cuevas was ranked as the No. 25 overall tight end in the transfer portal, per 247Sports, prior to transferring to Alabama in 2024. The star playmaker excelled in both the blocking and passing game throughout his tenure with the Crimson Tide, as Cuevas will now turn his attention towards continuing his career in the NFL.
Alabama has lost numerous playmakers on both sides of the football to both the NFL draft and the transfer portal, with Cuevas being the latest member of the Tide to announce his departure.
