The Cincinnati Bengals have moved on to the offseason, a detail no greater stressed than through the controversial Duke Tobin press conference.
But for just a moment, the fallout from the team’s loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 18 deserves a mention.

A week after the season finale, the NFL announced that two Browns players were fined for their actions during the 20-18 Cleveland win over the Bengals.

Per the NFL, Browns linebacker Devin Bush received a $10,000 fine and Browns cornerback Sam Webb got fined $6,111, each for celebrations they performed while scoring defensive touchdowns.
The NFL classified those celebrations in the unsportsmanlike conduct category with a description of “obscene gestures.”
The NFL also fined Bengals defender Cedric Johnson $5,525 for a hit to the head of an opposing quarterback in the second quarter.

For the Browns players fined, probably not a big deal. For the Bengals, it was certainly an obscene way to close a forgettable season.
