Pro Football Focus’ Nick Akridge listed the top 46 graded quarterbacks of the 2025 NFL regular season with a noticeable placement involving Kyler Murray and Jacoby Brissett.

Akridge listed Murray tied with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the 23rd-best quarterback with a 69.5 passing grade. Meanwhile, Brissett was listed at No. 27 with a 68.6 passing grade.

Murray being ahead of Brissett on the list is a notable surprise as the former No. 1 pick played in only the Cardinals’ first five games before suffering a foot injury against the Tennessee Titans. He was eventually placed on injured reserve and was later ruled out for the season.

In those five games, Murray completed 110 of 161 passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions with a 68.3% completion rate.

Following the Titans game, Brissett started in place of Murray for the rest of the season. In 14 games, Brissett completed 315 of 485 passes for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions with a 64.9% completion rate.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (93.3) topped the list, while San Francisco 49ers’ Brock Purdy (86.1) and Seattle Seahawks’ Sam Darnold (80.2) were ranked fifth and eighth, respectively.

Murray’s placement on the list comes as the Cardinals have several questions looming this offseason, including Murray’s future with the team. He is under contract with the Cardinals for two more seasons with a option for 2028. Murray has a guarantee of $36.8 million in 2026 with another $19.5 million for 2027 that becomes guaranteed if he still is on the roster on the fifth day of the new league year in March.
