Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, fired after 18 seasons that included a Super Bowl title and the most wins in franchise history, has emerged as the top head coaching candidate this cycle.

FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer reports that Harbaugh — drawing interest from teams like the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, and Miami Dolphins — will be highly selective, planning to narrow his options to just three or four teams for interviews.

“I just got off the phone with John Harbaugh. He said ‘every team has reached out,’ but he’s not going to go and do that [interview with every team]. He’s going to narrow it down this weekend to about three or four teams and make his decision on where he wants to go this week,” Glazer said on Saturday’s “NFL on FOX Pregame” show.

The New York Giants are aggressively pursuing Harbaugh, with reports describing the organization as “all in” on the veteran coach. The team has been “keeping close” tabs on him ahead of a potential interview next week, which may take place in Baltimore due to logistical preferences.

Harbaugh reportedly covets some personnel input and power but favors a collaborative approach and is unlikely to demand total roster control or the ouster of general manager Joe Schoen.
