Detroit Lions superstar pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson came back in a big way in 2025 after the abrupt end to his Defensive Player of the Year campaign in 2024.
The collective underwhelming performances from the Lions‘ defense down the stretch of this season overshadowed Hutchinson’s sensational play. Superior defensive units around the league saw much more of the spotlight and will end up with more accolades because of it.
However, Hutchinson did something no other player has done since Pro Football Focus began pushing out more advanced analytics to break down individual performances.
There have been only six seasons where an NFL player registered 100 or more pressures in a season since PFF started tracking player performances in 2006. Hutchinson is the only player with multiple such seasons, reaching 101 pressures in 2023 and 100 pressures in 2025.
Hutchinson finished first in the league in pressures in 2025, and third in sacks with 16.
