It was a fine frenzy in East Rutherford this past season, with the NFL slapping the New York Giants organization, coaches, and players with fines totalling nearly $500,000. That represents roughly 12.5% of the average yearly total across the league ($4 million).

But it all goes to a good cause:

The fines collected are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and the NFL Foundation to further support the health, safety and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game.

The following data was accumulated through the NFL’s operations department, compiled as part of their gameday accountability tracker. It does not include or account for any private appeals and their subsequent results.
