Last year, Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton lost three members of his coaching staff to other clubs. Opposing teams could top that number in 2026.
Four Broncos coaches have drawn interest from NFL clubs not in the playoffs, including three coaches who are being considered for head coach openings.

Denver defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has had (or will have) interviews with seven teams, and that number could grow to eight. He is considered one of the top head coach candidates in the 2026 hiring cycle.
Meanwhile, quarterbacks coach Davis Webb has drawn head coach interest from three teams, and he could be an offensive coordinator candidate for multiple clubs if he does not land an HC job. Special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi is also under consideration for at least one HC opening.
Elsewhere, Broncos defensive backs coach Jim Leonhard recently interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys’ opening at defensive coordinator. Denver, of course, would likely consider Leonhard for its own DC position if Joseph exits for an HC role this offseason.

For now, the Broncos are focused on the NFL playoffs. Once their season ends, coaching buzz will start to heat up, and Payton could lose several members of his staff in 2026.
