The Giants are going so far to try and land John Harbaugh as their next coach, it wouldn’t be a shock if Chris Mara showed up to Harbaugh’s Baltimore home with Sunday sauce.

While that may be a stretch, the Giants’ senior player personnel executive was in the Baltimore area on Sunday and had lunch with the sought-after coach as the two met at Harbaugh’s home, The Post’s Paul Schwartz confirmed.

The latest twist in the Harbaugh saga means that the Giants are the first team to have one of its executives sit down in person with the former Ravens coach since he hit the open market.

The Giants had already been making their push for Harbaugh last week as well when general manager Joe Shoen spoke with the highly coveted head coach on Thursday, the same day Harbaugh spoke with other interested teams.

A number of franchises have expressed interest in wooing Harbaugh to coach their respective teams and on Monday, he spoke with the Falcons’ new president of football, Matt Ryan, over the phone in what was later revealed to be an exploratory call.

Harbaugh has reportedly also had calls with the Titans, Browns, Raiders and Cardinals.

Monday’s call had been the Falcons attempt to get into the ballgame with Harbaugh in the early stages of his process.

The Giants are among those getting an in-person meeting with Harbaugh, though no formal interviews have been scheduled yet.

The Falcons, along with the Giants, Titans and Dolphins are likely to be high on Harbaugh’s list of potential landing spots.

Harbaugh was fired last week after 18 seasons with the Ravens and leading the team to a Super Bowl championship in 2013.

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti called it “an incredibly difficult decision.”

Harbaugh expressed “GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION” in a statement about his firing.
