MANCHESTER, N.H. —
The New England Patriots will host the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs on Sunday after the Texans beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-6 on Monday night.
Houston has one of the NFL’s top defenses, allowing the fewest yards and the second-fewest points in the league.
The last time the Patriots faced the Texans in the playoffs was in 2016, also in the divisional round, before New England went on to beat the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye will go head-to-head with C.J. Stroud, who finished the season with 3,041 yards and 19 touchdown passes.

Maye’s teammates say they have confidence in their quarterback.
“He’s a very poised player. Everyone in this locker room has the utmost confidence in him to lead us no matter what happens before,” said Patriots offensive lineman Will Campbell.
Sunday’s game will be New England’s first matchup against Houston this season.
The Patriots will play the Texans in Foxborough on Jan. 18 starting at 3 p.m. You can watch the game on WMUR-TV.
