Denver Broncos second-round draft pick RJ Harvey was among the players in attendance at the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles last week.

While at the event, Harvey did an interview with cllct’s Meghan Payton. That name probably sounds familiar because she is the daughter of Broncos coach Sean Payton.

The elder Payton took to social media with a proud dad post, writing: “When your daughter likes your 2nd round pick!!@rjharvey07.”

During his interview with Meghan, Harvey indicated he would like to wear a single-digit number in the NFL. Unfortunately, none were available with the Broncos, so he (temporarily) picked No. 37.

“Single digits, please!” Harvey said.

Meghan mentioned No. 4 — which will likely go to backup QB Sam Ehlinger — and Harvey mentioned No. 5 — which is currently worn by special teams wide receiver Trent Sherfield. We’ll see if the rookie is able to swing a deal with either player this offseason.

Meghan responded to her dad’s tweet with, “Got a good one!! Now give him a single digit number!”

Harvey and his teammates will report to Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit next week for the start of organized team activities. After OTAs wrap up, Denver will hold a mandatory minicamp in June.
