The college football transfer portal is getting ready to close up shop. Will Stein is still working to finalize his roster, as there are some moving parts. Evan Wibberley is leaving Lexington just one day before the window closes.
On3’s Pete Nakos reported that backup center Evan Wibberley is departing Lexington on Wednesday night. Wibberley played one season for the Wildcats and will now head elsewhere. He will have one season of eligibility remaining once he lands at his new home.
The 6-foot-5, 304-pound offensive lineman will be on the hunt for a new home in the coming days. Wibberley, a Kentucky native, came to Lexington as a junior from Western Kentucky. He served as the Wildcats’ backup center this past season and appeared in just four games.
The Cats’ coaching staff added some depth to the offensive line over the past couple of weeks, and Wibberley is looking for a new place to play.
