One member of the Indianapolis Colts was named the most improved player at his respective position group by Pro Football Focus.

Using PFF’s grading system, Thomas Valentine noted which player from each position saw his grade take the biggest jump from 2024 to 2025.

At center, that player was Tanor Bortolini.

In his second NFL season, Bortolini took over as the Colts‘ starting center. Over 566 pass-blocking snaps, he did not allow a single sack.

Among all centers, he ranked 16th in pass-blocking efficiency and third in PFF’s run-blocking grade.

“Bortolini had a breakout season and anchored one of the best offensive lines in football in 2025,” wrote Valentine. “The Colts finished the year with the second-best PFF pass-blocking grade and fourth-best PFF run-blocking grade in football.”

Bortolini’s overall grade from PFF was the third-highest at his position group.
