The Los Angeles Chargers brought in head coach Jim Harbaugh to help star quarterback Justin Herbert achieve the playoff success that has eluded him throughout his career. Unfortunately for the Herbert and the Chargers, the move has yet to pay dividends.
Last season, Harbaugh’s first with the Chargers, ended unceremoniously after an embarassing loss in the Wild Card round to the Houston Texans. This season ended in a similar fashion, in the same round, only this time to the New England Patriots.
Now, a serious change is coming to Los Angeles’s coaching staff, according to one prominent insider around the league.
“A change for the Chargers: they are firing offensive coordinator Greg Roman, per sources,” reported ESPN’s senior insider Adam Schefter on Twitter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Enormous news. I had zero faith Harbaugh would move on from Roman. Even with the offensive injuries considered, this was a must-do move IMO,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Well deserved. OL was a bunch of rejects by the end, but he stunk before that as well,” someone else added.
“Who could’ve foreseen Greg Roman being a bad hire for a young QB,” one fan added sarcastically.
It’ll be interesting to see who Harbaugh hires as a replacement.
