Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has surgery following injury-filled season

Go ahead. Is there just, what’s the receiving room like after the last performance? Um, I mean, guys, we’re still in there, we’re still in there. We’re, we’re, we’re *** tight group, so everybody’s sticking together, um, obviously working on the things you need to work on and get better. Do you guys feel like, you know, I, I know *** lot of guys are frustrated, some guys checked out early, you know, fans are come in, pay their money, buy their jerseys, do all that kind of stuff. Do you guys feel like there’s an obligation to, you know, have some comments afterwards, talk about the game so the fans can hear what you guys think? Um, I mean, as ***, as *** player, I mean, obviously I don’t know as ***, from *** fan or *** fan’s mind, I, I just, as *** player, you know, you deal with certain things throughout the game and it’s like you kinda get down on yourself uh throughout the game, so you kinda, I mean, don’t want to talk to the media. I mean, as ***, you can see that as *** person when you’re mad or you’re going through something, you obviously don’t wanna talk sometimes, but I mean, as ***, at *** professional level, I see from *** fan’s point you want to hear about like what’s going on and what you think should have happened, so I mean I could see both sides of the of the thing. So, what needs to improve between you and Patrick and connecting on P body? Yeah, I mean, it’s obviously, I mean, missing those 33 weeks that I missed at the beginning of the season kind of probably took *** little downfall to it. I mean, we felt like we had kind of *** great connection coming into the year, but probably just need to get back on that, um, get in practice, run full speed routes, and just, I mean it’s, it’s just *** thing that happens and that’s not *** thing that happens overnight, so just gotta figure it out. Xavier *** bit off the field, but you know, with your foundation and the events you have going on, just, uh, what has this foundation meant to you to start here in Kansas City? Obviously your hometown of Fresno, meaning *** lot too. Just what’s it mean to bring it here to the Kansas City? Yeah, I mean, obviously just wherever I touch, I just want to be able to leave *** mark. So just coming to Kansas City obviously changed my life. So I want to do something to be able to change the people’s life in Kansas City. So our foundation is helping single moms. So being able to give them tools to make them *** better parent or *** better dad or make the kid. Have *** memory that could change your life. So just being able to do that for them. In the short time you’ve had, have you seen *** little bit of impact so far? Yeah, my mom, uh, we had practice today, but my mom did this little walk for single moms, and it was cool. Everybody was there. My mom was telling me about it. She was talking about it for like 3 weeks. Xavier, obviously that first game of the year was probably some bad memories for you with the collision. How much more would it be, uh, how much would it mean to you to have *** great game against the Chargers this? Uh, yeah, I mean, having *** great game is cool, but I mean we have bigger things ahead of us. We need to, we need to win out obviously to be able to have that chance to make the playoffs, but we still need people to lose unfortunately, but just to be able to get that chance. So just going out there and executing and getting the job done. Anybody else? Thank you. Thank you.
