The Los Angeles Chargers strongly believe that they have one of the top quarterbacks in the league in Justin Herbert. However, if that is true, it has yet to manifest in terms of playoff success. The Chargers brought in legendary head coach Jim Harbaugh to help Herbert make a deep run this season, but the results are still absent.

The Chargers lost in embarassing fashion in the Wild Card round for the second straight season to end their 2025 campaign, this time to Drake Maye and the upstart New England Patriots.

Now, some serious changes are coming to the organization, according to one of the most prominent insiders around the league.

“A change for the Chargers: they are firing offensive coordinator Greg Roman, per sources,” reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Easiest firing ever how did he even ever get another OC job,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Waited years for this headline in the 2010’s and never got it… Herbert stock up next season,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“For Jim to do this after the history he and Roman have is significant,” someone else added, making note of how Roman has been Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator for each season he’s been a head coach in the NFL.

It’ll be interesting to see who the Chargers bring in as a replacement.
