The Chicago Bears are set to face the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC divisional playoff game. The article suggests the Bears should target Rams defensive lineman Kobie Turner to strengthen their defense.Turner is highlighted as an underrated player who had a highly productive 2025 season.Adding Turner would complement the Bears’ existing defensive talent, including Montez Sweat and Austin Booker.

The Chicago Bears and their magical season continue this weekend as they welcome the Los Angeles Rams to Soldier Field in the NFC divisional playoff game on Sunday night.

Los Angeles is led by head coach Sean McVay, as well as a top MVP candidate in Matthew Stafford and top receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, putting together a dangerous offensive threat for any and all defenses that prepare for Los Angeles. Although most known for their offensive firepower, the Rams also feature a high-level defense, especially on the defensive line where they have plenty of young rising stars.

For this week’s edition of “Gimme Him,” we’re targeting one of those top young defensive linemen and this player is one of the most underrated players in the league, interior defensive lineman Kobie Turner, to help strengthen the interior of Chicago’s defensive line.

During the 2025 season, Turner ranked sixth out of 129 graded defensive linemen in the NFL, and got the eighth-highest pass rush grade at 84.3 on the PFF grading scale. Credited with 43 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, along with one interception and one fumble recovery, Turner is a wrecking machine in opposing backfields. His presence in Chicago would easily open up opportunities on the outside for Montez Sweat and Austin Booker, which could be just as valuable as what he does in his individual play.

The Bears have plenty of talent on the interior of their defensive line, but Turner is one of the best young players in the NFL that doesn’t get enough shine in the spotlight. Having Grady Jarrett, Gervon Dexter, and Turner would create one of the best defensive line groups in all of the NFL, including the aforementioned Sweat and Booker on the outside. Jared Verse and Braden Fiske are very good outside pass rushers for McVay’s Rams’ defense, but Turner may be the most important piece on their defensive line.
