Rams fans are encouraged to join WalkUnitedLA at the Rose Bowl, where participants can walk or run in support of United Way’s efforts to create a better Los Angeles. Rams fans can sign up for “Team Rams” and fans who join by Sunday, June 1 will receive a complimentary Rams ‘LA Together’ t-shirt. Rams players, Rams Legends and executives also will join the event, along with in-stadium announcer Sam Lagana, Rams Cheerleaders and mascot Rampage.
“Kelly and I are excited to serve as the honorary chairs for this special edition of WalkUnitedLA,” said Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford. “After the devastating wildfires hit our community, we, like many others, wanted to do what we could for those who were affected. We have met so many amazing people through our time working to help restore hope to the Pasadena and Altadena area and can’t wait to host WalkUnitedLA in order to continue our support for the city we call home.”
WalkUnitedLA evolved from United Way of Greater LA’s flagship event HomeWalk when it became the single largest annual event with the mission to end homelessness nationwide. Since 2007, this event has united Angelenos supporting bold solutions to end poverty. Over the years, more than 130,000 people across Los Angeles County have raised over $11 million to end homelessness and support the most vulnerable individuals and communities in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Rams organization recognizes its unique ability to help raise awareness and funds for causes and issues relevant to the Los Angeles community by focusing substantial resources on efforts to engage and impact the Los Angeles community through a commitment to support youth education and mentoring, promote health and wellness, and help address the issues of poverty.
