The second matchup of Saturday’s Divisional Round slate features an NFC battle between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. These NFC West foes split the season series in 2025, setting the stage for a fantastic rubber match in the postseason. Reports of Christian McCaffrey’s demise were in fact, very exaggerated.
After significant injuries derailed his 2024 campaign, CMC returned with a vengeance this year. The dual-threat back has lived up to that title, amassing north of 2,100 total yards along with an incredible 102 receptions. As one would imagine, with that type of usage, scoring followed. McCaffrey racked up 17 total touchdowns in the regular season, following that up with a pair of receiving TDs against Philadelphia in the Wild Card round.
Now, CMC is suiting up against arguably the best defense in football this Saturday. San Francisco failed to score a touchdown against Seattle when these teams faced off just two weeks ago. However, it’s hard to argue with the value at -130 when every time the Niners get into the red zone, they’ll be giving CMC every possible opportunity to score. I expect a much better offensive showing from Brock Purdy and company this time around.
