The Los Angeles Chargers were knocked out of the playoffs after losing to the New England Patriots in the AFC wildcard round, 3-16.
LA is beginning to make some coaching staff changes and is looking forward to the free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft, but was handed one more punishment after the loss.
The NFL announced its weekly fine list, with a member of the Chargers organization being one of the seven players fined in the first round of the playoffs.

The NFL Gameday Accountability Portal revealed seven players on seven different teams have been fined after the wildcard round, with a member of the Los Angeles Chargers’ defense being fined in the loss to New England.
Linebacker Denzel Perryman was fined for an unnecessary roughness call in the fourth quarter with 14:01 remaining on the clock. Perryman will be fined $10,367. This is the linebackers’ only fine of the season.
The defender featured in 10 games this season for the Bolts, totaling 47 tackles and 3 pass deflections.
This was Perryman’s eighth season as a member of the Chargers. The linebacker played the first six seasons of his career with the team, including the first two years when the Bolts were in San Diego. Perryman played three seasons with two other teams before joining LA when Jim Harbaugh was hired as the head coach.
Perryman totaled 451 tackles, 6 sacks, 3 interceptions and 9 pass deflections in his time with the Chargers.
The linebacker was on a one-year deal with the Chargers for the 2025-26 season, with no talks of the Bolts engaging in extensions with Perryman.
There have been no signs from Perryman that he would like to continue playing, either with the Chargers or with another team. If the defender were to hang the gloves, he would have amassed 764 tackles in his career and was a one-time Pro Bowler in the 2021 season.
Offensive Coordinator Search

After losing to New England in the AFC wildcard, the Los Angeles Chargers parted ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
LA has begun its search for a new OC, with the latest person to interview for the role being former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.
Daboll accrued an overall record of 20-40 in his three and a half seasons with the team.
The former Giants HC is the latest former head coach to interview for the vacant offensive coordinator spot, with former Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel and former Tennessee Titans HC Brian Callahan also getting interviews with the Bolts for the OC job.
LA started the OC search by doing two internal interviews with pass game coordinator Marcus Brady and quarterbacks coach Shane Day.
