The Carolina Panthers announced the return of a familiar face on Monday.
Cornerback Michael Reid has been brought back on a reserve/future deal. The 23-year-old defender spent his first season in the NFL as a part of Carolina’s practice squad.
An Owing Mills, Md. native, Reid split his five-year collegiate career between Monmouth University and the University of South Dakota. He would be named a second-team All-MVFC member in 2024, his senior campaign.
Reid first signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2025. He’d go on to appear in all three preseason games during the summer, amassing a total of 55 defensive snaps.
Carolina has now signed 16 players to future deals this offseason, with Reid joining the following names:
