SPENCER RATTLER 2025 SEASON ANALYSIS
New Orleans Saints second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler won the job coming out of training camp and started the first eight games of the season. While team success was evasive (the Saints went 1-7 in his starts), Rattler showed promise and ability during the stretch before being replaced by Tyler Shough. New Orleans suffered three one-score losses as Rattler completed 174 of 257 passes for 1,586 yards and eight touchdowns, with five interceptions, and ran for 167 yards on 31 carries.
BEST GAME OF SPENCER RATTLER’S 2025 SEASON
In the Saints’ 26-14 victory over the Giants on Oct. 5 in the Caesars Superdome, Rattler completed 21 of 31 passes for 225 yards. But it was his touchdown throw – an 87-yarder to Rashid Shaheed – that created the buzz. The connection was the longest for New Orleans in the season, and exhibited Rattler’s deep ball touch.
