Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan was named to the All-Rookie team by the Pro Football Writers of America. The 2025, 4th round pick out of Cal had an excellent rookie campaign alongside Roquan Smith.

Buchanan was one of the bright spots on a Ravens defense that struggled for most of the season under defensive coordinator Zach Orr. Unfortunately, Buchanan’s season was cut short after tearing his ACL in Week 14 in Cincinnati against the Bengals.

Buchanan finished the season with 93 total tackles, a half sack, and a forced fumble. Early on in the season, he took over for Trenton Simpson and played exceptionally well. The hope is for him to be ready for training camp, but it would be smart for him to take his time and not rush back from injury, risking a setback in his quest to be ready by the start of the 2026 season.

So far, it looks like the Ravens drafted a great piece to lead the defense for years to come, which should help with other offseason or draft moves.
