SEATTLE, Wash. – The Pro Football Writers of America announced their selections for the All-Rookie, All-NFC and All-NFL teams, with seven Seahawks among them.
Offensive lineman Grey Zabel and safety Nick Emmanwori earned spots on the All-Rookie team, the first time in two seasons Seattle has a selection here.
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and defensive tackle Leonard Williams both earned All-NFL nods. Smith-Njigba led the NFL in receiving yards and earned Pro Bowl/All-Pro spots, too. Williams led the team with quarterback hits (22) and tied the lead in sacks (7.0)
Five Seahawks earned All-NFC honors, including both Smith-Njigba and Williams. Cornerback Devon Witherspoon, returner Rashid Shaheed and punter Michael Dickson rounded out the list. Witherspoon earned a Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro spots despite missing five games with injury. Dickson also earned second-team All-Pro and ranks fourth all-time in average punt yards. Shaheed scored three return scores, plus a fourth playoff kickoff return score to open the Divisional Round last weekend versus San Francisco.
