Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is having his in-person interview with the Baltimore Ravens, per CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz. Minter was a Ravens defensive assistant in 2017 and was promoted to defensive back coach. After leaving the Ravens, Minter worked at Vanderbilt, Michigan, and the Chargers.

This would be the Ravens’ second in-person interview for their head coaching vacancy. The first was former Ravens assistant Anthony Weaver. Many betting markets and prognosticators are predicting that the Ravens will hire Minter, but they are still working to make the right decision.

It’s not known what will happen after this interview, but if they go into the weekend without hiring a candidate, it’s likely they are waiting until the end of the weekend to conduct in-person interviews with coaches from the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks.

For now, the Ravens continue to move deliberately through the process, weighing familiarity with the organization against a broad slate of experienced candidates. Minter’s interview is a significant step, but Baltimore appears intent on completing its due diligence before making a final decision on the franchise’s next head coach.
