The Baltimore Ravens hired their replacement to John Harbaugh, ironically enough, from his brother’s coaching staff, and who has ties to the fired coach he’s taking the reins from. The Ravens announced on Thursday that they’ve officially hired Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as their new head coach, and have signed him to a five-year deal, according to ESPN. Minter has been Harbaugh’s defensive coordinator for four seasons, coming over to the NFL on the Chargers‘ staff with him from the Michigan Wolverines. However, before he joined Jim Harbaugh in Michigan, he was on the staff in Baltimore. Minter’s first NFL job was as a defensive assistant for the Ravens from 2017 to 2020 under John Harbaugh.
