Another of the Arizona Cardinals‘ targets for their vacancy at head coach has landed a job elsewhere. The latest is Jesse Minter.

Minter, the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, interviewed with the Cardinals last week. He is going to be the new head coach for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens announced that they agreed to terms with Minter.

Minter returns to the Ravens, where he was a defensive assistant from 2017-2019 and defensive backs coach in 2020.

After his stint in Baltimore, he was defensive coordinator at Vanderbilt and then Michigan, and he followed Jim Harbaugh to the Chargers, where he ran their defense the last two years.

That leaves five head coaching jobs open, including the Cardinals.
