The Tennessee Titans officially announced Robert Saleh as head coach on Thursday, and he immediately got to work on his staff.
To no one’s surprise, Saleh decided to maintain continuity on special teams by retaining coordinator John “Bones” Fassel for another season. Fassel was instrumental in the Titans’ special teams resurgence in 2025.

Fassel initially will be joined by tight ends coach Luke Stocker, running backs coach Randy Jordan, and cornerbacks coach Tony Oden on Saleh’s staff.
It is interesting that parts of the offensive staff were retained prior to a coordinator hire, but Stocker’s stock is rising, and he did a tremendous job with the Titans’ tight ends in 2025. Oden has ties to Saleh, with the two crossing paths with both the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers.
The same can’t be said for offensive coordinator Nick Holz, defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, and defensive assistant Lori Locust, who were relieved of their duties in this first round of staff construction. There have been social media posts indicating that the majority of the 2025 staff, including Bo Hardegree, will be let go in the coming days.

More staff announcements are likely in the next few days. Plus, with an introductory press conference scheduled for Wednesday, most of his staff should be in place.
