The Miami Dolphins have welcomed the newest head coach to the AFC East this week.
The team has announced that former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has been named Miami’s next head coach:
Hafley, 46, joins new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan in Miami. The Dolphins have had a full front office makeover already this offseason and more changes are likely to come. Most believe former starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has played his last snap as Miami’s starter as well.

Hafley spent the last two seasons as the Packers’ defensive coordinator, during which Green Bay ranked ninth in yards allowed per game, sixth in yards per play and eighth in points allowed per game.
On Jan. 8, former head coach Mike McDaniel was fired in Miami after four seasons at the helm. The team was 7-10 overall in 2025.
The Dolphins have not won a playoff game in 25 seasons.
