The Philadelphia Eagles continue to search for their next offensive coordinator. It seems that nobody that the Birds have interviewed so far wants the job.  There is speculation that it’s not the Ideal job for the candidates that the Eagles have interviewed. What is the reason why these coaches have decided to turn their attention to other jobs? We will voice our opinions this weekend in The Locker Room.

EDITOR’S NOTE: There is no reporting that Mike McDaniel or other coaches “turned down” a job offer from the Eagles; But there is reporting that there are other factors for why certain coaches are taking other opportunities, and some of those are factors outside of the Eagles’ control or influence.  There is speculative reporting online that teams are “less interested” in the Philadelphia opening compared to other jobs.

The Flyers suffered a nightmarish loss in Overtime to the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday night, wasting a 4-2 lead in the third period.  Flyers Head coach Rick Tocchet expressed his disappointment after the game by saying the loss was “Unacceptable”, and that his players have to “Rise to the occasion”. The Flyers challenge the best team in the NHL Friday night in Denver before returning home from this three-game west coast road trip.

The Sixers, who last appeared in the NBA Championship twenty-five years ago, beat the Houston Rockets Thursday night in overtime 128-122.  Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey was named as a starter in this year’s NBA All star game, and led the Sixers with 36 points in the victory Thursday Night. We will cover it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.
