There’s not much debate about who’s going first in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 pick, and Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is the young star everyone expects them to call.
Las Vegas has been hunting for a real answer at quarterback for a while now. Mendoza checks the boxes. He moves well, processes fast, and doesn’t panic under pressure.

Fans have latched onto him already, and it’s not just about what he does on the field. His personality has won people over too.

That appeal has reached beyond Raider Nation. During the Hoosiers-Hurricanes title game, a Miami fan caught on camera went viral.
Adult actress Abella Danger ended up weighing in on the quarterback most people think will hear his name called first in April.
“Oh my gosh, I mean, he’s so quick, and he’s so powerful, and so intentional with everything that he does. I feel like the Raiders would be so lucky to have him. The question is, will he played his first season after being drafted? I don’t know. Hopefully, he does,” Danger said, per Las Vegas Sports Mike Dixon.

Danger wasn’t expecting her night at a college football game to blow up like that. ESPN’s broadcast of Monday’s NCAA final caught her looking frustrated late in the game at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Hurricanes lost to Indiana, and that quick shot of her turned into a whole thing online. Clips spread fast, and the attention came whether she asked for it or not.

She said later she was just there as a student supporting her school.
The reaction caught her off guard, though being in the public eye means dealing with assumptions. She’s been through that before.
