Rivers, 44, came out of retirement to fill the Colts’ quarterback position after Daniel Jones’ season ended because of injury. Rivers completed 58 of 92 passes for 544 yards and four touchdowns. The Colts lost all three of his starts and missed the playoffs after starting the season an NFL-best 7-1.
Rivers played 16 of his 18 seasons in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers. His final playoff game came in a loss to the Bills, 27-24, in 2020.Â
