The Pittsburgh Steelers hired Mike McCarthy as their coach. This makes the third cornerstone franchise to be helmed by the former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys boss. McCarthy will be the Steelers’ fourth coach since 1969. He follows Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin. The previous three all led Pittsburgh to Super Bowl victories. They were also hired in their 30s. McCarthy will turn 63 on November 10. Will there be a reunion with his former Packer QB Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh or will the Steelers turn an eye to the future at quarterback? That remains to be seen. Who are some of the other people to have coached three or more NFL teams? And Bill Belichick doesn’t count. Ben McWilliams of NFL research provided answers.
