LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – Iowa offensive lineman Logan Jones received the Rimington Trophy during a ceremony in Lincoln Saturday.
The Council Bluffs, Iowa, native won the award — given to what the organization calls “the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football” — back on Dec. 12.
“I know they try and put this as an individual award, but it’s not,” Jones said. “I couldn’t have done it without the guys I get to play with.”
Jones helped lead a Hawkeye front five that won the Joe Moore Award, given to “the most outstanding offensive line unit in college football.” He did not concede a single holding penalty during the entire 2025 season.
“I had really good offensive linemen and to be able to win this, and the Joe Moore as well, it’s a testament to who they are as people, not as much players,” Jones said. “That’s always what we’ve emphasized. It’s never about the talent or anything like that. It’s always about who you are.”
Iowa ranked in a three-way tie for 25th nationally with just 18 sacks allowed all of last season, and 42nd in total rushing offense at 176.9 yards per game.
