Robert Saleh and the Tennessee Titans are searching for the right fits for their offensive and defensive coordinator positions, and interviews are ongoing, but, listening to one NFL Insider, they are in a holding pattern until one of the head coaching openings is filled.
When asked about the coaching carousel earlier on Sunday, NFL Insider Mike Garafolo stated, “The Tennessee Titans would like to hire him (Daboll) ASAP” regarding former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll and the openings with the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders.
Daboll’s interest in Buffalo is well known and makes sense. He is familiar with the organization and Josh Allen, and he parlayed his first stint with the Bills into the head coaching job with the Giants. While it would make some sense to return, the Bills are charting a new course after parting with Sean McDermott, and Daboll might be viewed as an offensive version of what they already had in place.
Daboll also interviewed with the Raiders last week, in a meeting that flew under the national radar.
With Daboll a giant question mark at this point, Saleh and the Titans are lining up interviews with potential candidates after watching Mike McDaniel, Arthur Smith, and Bobby Slowik land elsewhere.
