With a new head coach in place, the Miami Dolphins coaching staff is going to look a little different in the coming weeks. Jeff Hafley’s first hire was for a new special teams coordinator as he landed one of the best in the business with Chris Tabor. The Dolphins should be familiar with Tabor as he coached the Buffalo Bills special teams unit last season and crossed paths with Hafley when they worked together from 2014-15 with the Cleveland Browns.
The next hire was for offensive coordinator and Hafley decided to stay in house by promoting Bobby Slowik to the position. Slowik was a hot name a couple years ago when he had a Houston Texans offense led by a rookie, C.J. Stroud, playing at such a high level in year one. However, the following season saw the unit regress and Slowik was let go after the season. He joined up with the Dolphins last season where he had the role of senior pass game coordinator. He also has worked previously with Hafley, back in 2017-18 when they were with the San Francisco 49ers.
