Say what you will about the Philadelphia Eagles, their frustrating offensive coordinator search, and a more frustrating season that ended abruptly. They remain one of the NFL’s model franchises. Don’t believe us? Just take a few moments to study the ripple effect they’ve created this offseason and in others.

Though it’s been a while since we’ve seen him, John Harbaugh, a product of the Andy Reid coaching tree, takes over as head coach of the New York Giants. Need a more recent example? How about those darn Dallas Cowboys? They’ve been snooping around the Eagles‘ coaching staff for a little while now.

They interviewed Philadelphia’slinebackers coach and hired Christian Parker. Then, they decided they’d prevent the Eagles from interviewing one of their own. Jeremy Fowler reports that Dallas blocked Philadelphia from interviewing their offensive coordinator, Klayton Adams.

Defensive line coach Clint Hurtt interviewed for the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator job. Jonathan Gannon finds another opportunity. We could go on and on, but here’s one that’s intriguing. Dennard Wilson signs on with the Giants. He’ll be their defensive coordinator, and that’s a massive move by the longtime Eagles rival.

Former Eagles Dennard Wilson is a brilliant acquisition by the New York Giants.

If the name Dennard Wilson sounds familiar to Eagles fans, that’s because it should. He spent two seasons in Philadelphia, first as their defensive backs coach, then as their passing game coordinator in 2022.

Former Eagles defensive back Darius Slay couldn’t stop raving about his position coach during their time together. When Wilson left to join the Baltimore Ravens as their DBs coach, Slay thought about following him, but ‘Big’ Dom DiSandro talked him out of it.

Wilson spent the past two seasons as the Tennessee Titans‘ defensive coordinator, and even though he wasn’t part of winning teams, nothing major happened to damage his standing as one of the game’s most respected defensive minds.

Dennard Wilson and Christian Parker are cut from the same cloth. Brilliant… Destined for success… Products of the Eagles ‘Coaching Factory.

Trust us on this. That Coaching Factory thing is going to stick. You just wait and see, but more importantly, the Cowboys and Giants have given the Eagles something to think about. Philadelphia must nail this offensive coordinator search.
