The Buffalo Bills are looking for their next head coach and potential candidate, Philip Rivers has officially said that he does not want the job.

NFL insiders are saying that he is withdrawing his name from consideration.

He interviewed last week with the Buffalo Bills as they look for their head coach and fans were equally surprised and thrilled that he was throwing his name in the hat. Rumors were swirling that even if he did not get the head coaching job, that he would possibly be the quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills–which, that part could still be true.

Philip Rivers took a break from coaching high school football and returned to help the Indianapolis Colts who were desperate after all of their quarterback injuries. At 44 years old and a grandfather, it made Rivers a favorite by fans rooting for his return to the NFL.

The Buffalo Bills will be interviewing more candidates for head coach within the next couple of weeks. During the press conference last week, Terry Pegula and Brandon Beane mentioned that they both want to interview coaches that are on teams that are still competing for the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is set for February 8th in California between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks right now are the favorite to win and the kickoff is 6:30 PM.
