Would the Carolina Panthers actually use a first-round pick on a wideout for the third straight year? Well, if the 2026 draft unfolds like Daniel Jeremiah’s initial projections, they just might have to.

Jeremiah, one of the NFL’s most renowned draft analysts, released his debut mock on Monday morning. And in a shocking slide, he has Arizona State University receiver Jordyn Tyson ending up with the Panthers at the 19th overall spot.

He writes:

The Panthers have a stud in Tetairoa McMillan, and I like what I saw from Jalen Coker at the end of the season, but choosing Tyson would complete the WR room.

McMillan was Carolina’s first-rounder from last spring. The 2025 eighth overall pick went on to reel in 70 catches for 1,014 yards (a franchise record for a rookie) and seven touchdowns.

2024 brought the Panthers Xavier Legette, with the 32nd overall selection. Over his two seasons, he’s totaled 860 receiving yards and seven scores on 84 receptions.

Tyson, a two-time first-team All-Big 12 selection, would certainly rearrange the room. Thought of as a top-10 prospect by many, the polished 6-foot-2, 200-pounder amassed 18 touchdowns over his final two collegiate campaigns.
