Add one more endorsement to the list for new Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.
Robinson’s old boss, Raheem Morris, is a big fan.
Morris hired Robinson to his Atlanta Falcons staff. Morris, who was ousted in Atlanta on Jan. 4, recently pointed out to JoeBucsFan.com some of the strengths Robinson displayed in Atlanta.

“He brought Kyle Pitts to life, and Zac brought Bijan Robinson to a new level,” Morris says. “He got better and better calling plays as he went along. You get into a groove when you’re doing that for awhile. These play-callers need a chance to grow. I really think the Bucs are getting a superstar in the making.”
Pitts, in his fifth season, had the second-most receiving yards in the league among tight ends in 2025.
Bijan Robinson is one of only two running backs with 1,400-plus yards in each of the last two seasons. (Derek Henry of the Baltimore Ravens is the other.)
Atlanta improved as the season went along, averaging 25 points per game over the last four contests — all wins.

That winning streak didn’t stop the Falcons from firing Morris, who led the team to 16-18 over two season.
New Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski didn’t keep Robinson on staff in Atlanta, thus making Robinson available to Tampa Bay.
Morris and Robinson were on Sean McVay’s Los Angeles Rams staff together from 2021 to 2023; Morris was the defensive coordinator and Robinson was coaching on the offensive side.
“For me, it was an easy decision to bring Zac aboard in Atlanta,” Morris said. “I was with him in L.A. and noticed he had this calm presence about him … where Liam could get a little out of whack.”

The Liam of whom he spoke is Liam Coen, the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator in 2024.
Coen left Tampa Bay to become the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he finished his first season 13-5 and is in the mix for NFL Coach of the Year.
If Robinson can replicate what Coen did in Tampa, his time as Bucs coordinator will be considered a success.
ㅤThere’s also the chance that Robinson’s time in Tampa Bay doesn’t go well. That was certainly the case with Josh Grizzard, who was fired after one season on the job, which ended with Tampa 16th in the league in scoring offense.
But before Grizzard was promoted from within, Tampa had Coen and Dave Canales, who each became NFL head coaches. So Todd Bowles has shown that he can hire a quality OC, and will need to this time for Tampa to get back to the playoffs.
