OL COACH ON RAVENS’ RADAR
The Steelers and Baltimore Ravens both have new head coaches. However, their work isn’t done yet. Now, both teams need to fill out the rest of their coaching staffs. That means they could compete for some of the same names. The Ravens had a slight head start on the Steelers, too. As a result, they could land one of the strongest position coaches available.
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec stated on Twitter that offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford is a “strong candidate” to join the Ravens’ staff. Ledford previously served as the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive line coach since 2021. He has been successful in that role as well, developing several quality linemen. That includes guard Chris Lindstrom, a four-time Second-team All-Pro under Ledford.
Nothing finalized with Ravens asst. coaches yet, but a strong candidate to join Jesse Minter’s new staff is OL coach Dwayne Ledford. His work as Falcons run game coordinator/OL coach was widely praised last year. He became available when Kevin Stefanski brought in Bill Callahan.

HEYWARD TALKS MSU FOOTBALL
Connor Heyward has played multiple roles for the Steelers since they drafted him in 2022. While he’s listed as a fullback and tight end on their depth chart, his biggest impact in 2025 was as the ball carrier on the Steelers’ version of the Tush Push. Heyward was successful at his job, helping in any way that he could.
While Heyward is slated to be a free agent, he’s taking time to enjoy his offseason. He played college football at Michigan State University from 2017 to 2021. WILX News 10 shared a video interview on YouTube with Heyward during a Michigan State basketball game. He was asked about Pat Fitzgerald, Michigan State football’s new head coach. He offered his support, citing his experience against Fitzgerald.
BALTIMORE INTERVIEWING SCOTTIE MONTGOMERY
Mike Tomlin often got criticized for his lack of a coaching tree. While he was with the Steelers for almost 20 years, few of his assistants went on to have success with other teams. However, Scottie Montgomery is one former Steeler coach who’s continued to rise through the ranks. He was the Steelers’ wide receivers coach from 2010 to 2012.
While he’s spent the last few years with the Detroit Lions, Montgomery could end up back in the AFC North. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Twitter that the Ravens have requested to interview Montgomery for their offensive coordinator position. He’s currently the assistant head coach and wide receivers coach for the Lions.
The Ravens will interview Lions assistant head coach/wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery for their offensive coordinator job, per source.
Montgomery has been on Dan Campbell’s staff for the past three seasons in senior roles.
